Makeup removers have come a long way since the Neutrogena Makeup Remover wipes. They used to be my go-to back in the day but as the years have passed I’ve replaced them with other products. Better products, one might say.
There are a bunch of new makeup removers in different formulas that remove makeup efficiently and are kind to all skin types. It’s all about experimenting and finding the makeup remover that’s right for your needs.
Personally, I have four different makeup removers that I like to use for different purposes. High maintenance, I know. But by trying so many makeup removers I’ve been able to narrow down my favorites.
Check them out!
From the minute I tried this, I knew I was gonna love it. This micellar water is my all-time favorite makeup remover. It removes all of my makeup no matter how much I have on and no matter how waterproof it is. It’s also very gentle on the skin and every time I use it, my skin feels clean.
Out of all the makeup removers I use, this is the easiest one to use. Simply because it’s not irritating and all you need is a cotton round or something similar. It’s also the most affordable one and you can find it almost everywhere!
I’m usually not a fan of oily makeup removers but this one is an exception. If you need something to remove waterproof mascara in seconds, look no further than Milky Oil. A bit of this on a cotton round will take off all your waterproof makeup without tugging at the skin.
My favorite thing about this product is that, even though it’s oily, it doesn’t leave an oily residue on the skin. Therefore, it doesn’t irritate my skin and that’s a huge win in my book. Plus it’s a great price for what you get!
This one’s a classic beauty guru product and I still have the one with the old packaging. I love using this when I have a full face of heavy makeup on because I can visibly see how the product separates from my skin. It’s extremely satisfying! And it’s also a great step in a double cleansing routine.
Even though it’s an oil it’s very easy to use and remove. It’s never an overwhelming process and it leaves the skin feeling nourished. One thing I will say though is that it can irritate your eyes if product get’s in them. And it’s virtually impossible not to get product in your eyes when you’re removing eye makeup. So just keep that in mind.
This makeup remover is a very similar concept to the Boscia one but in solid form. It isn’t as intense since it’s more balmy than oily but it’s still efficient in removing makeup. Because it’s less intense, I like to use it more on a daily basis, when my face isn’t as caked with makeup. Again, be careful around your eye area cause, if this gets in your eyes, it will definitely irritate them.
A bit of this product goes a long way so you get a good bang for your buck. Especially since you get quite a bit of product. Also if you’re big on traveling, this can be a great makeup remover that you can bring in your carry-on. Since it’s a solid product you’ll never have a problem with TSA.
And those are my four favorite makeup removers! What do you like to remove your makeup with?
Thank you so much for reading! I hope this post was helpful 🙂
