Hello, and welcome to my last blog post of the year! Where has the time gone?
Anyways, for today’s post, I wanted to bring you guys some NYE inspo. We all know that New Year’s is the perfect time to bust out the glitter and cover our faces with it. It’s what we always do.
But I think it’s good to change things up every once in a while and break tradition. That’s why today I’m bringing you three New Year’s looks that have no glitter element to them.
If you wanna spice up your NYE look or you’re simply tired of wearing glitter, this post is perfect for you!
The wet/glossy look is perfect for NYE for many reasons. First of all, it’s easy and quick to achieve so you don’t have to spend hours getting ready. Second of all, it’s a very low maintenance look once you actually have it on. And thirdly it gives you the beautiful reflective quality that glitter gives you, without being uncomfortable and getting everywhere.
There are many ways you can go about this look. You can add gloss all over; meaning on your eyes, cheeks, and lips. Or you can do it only on the eyes to make more of a statement. You could also go the colorful route by adding a clear gloss on top of colorful eyeshadow or lipstick. Or you can keep it nude with just the clear gloss.
The possibilities are endless and the look is fab.
If you feel like making a statement with your look but don’t have much time, bold lips are the look for you. They’re an easy way to look put together and you can literally achieve the look in minutes. Alternatively, if you have no one to kiss when the clock strikes 12 (like me), a bold lip might be exactly what you need.
You can keep your bold lip very traditional with colors like reds and pinks. Or you can take it up a notch and wear super funky colors like blue or purple. The trick to this look is to keep the rest of the face pretty neutral and fresh so that the lip can stand out and make a true statement.
If you’re feeling bold and adventurous for the New Year, you definitely need to try this look. Graphic eyes are very unique and different but they’re still fun and perfect for a NYE party. They’re a genius way to draw attention to the eyes without using glitter.
You don’t have to go all out with your graphic eyes. You can keep them very simple with easy design and neutral colors. If you want to make your eyes pop you can do something bolder and crazier and incorporate different shapes and colors. But no matter what you do, this look will definitely win at New Year’s.
What do you think of the looks? Would you be willing to give them a try or are you sticking to glitter this year?
