Who doesn’t love a good lip balm?
As a chronically dry-lipped human, I don’t just love a good lip balm. I need one at all times. I need something that deeply hydrates and nourishes my lips 24/7. But I also need lip balms that work under lipstick.
I’ve tried just about every lip balm on the face of this earth and I’ve found a few that work for me. Granted, they’re only 5 but they will change your life!
The Lip Balms
Ohii Lip Jelly
The name of this product describes it perfectly. This lip balm has a peculiar jelly texture that feels lightweight and comfortable on the lips. It’s really nourishing and it leaves my lips feeling like a cloud. The best part about this is that it works really well under other lip products.
Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter
First things first, this smells amazing! The formula is really balmy but not waxy. That allows it to absorb well. This lip balm is really moisturizing and light on the lips. It works exceptionally well on cracked lips because it doesn’t burn and it provides deep hydration. And did I mention it smells amazing?!
Kopari Lip Glossy
If lip gloss and lip balm had a baby, this would be it. I don’t own anything else like this. The Lip Glossy is essentially a lip gloss with lip balm properties. It hydrates the lips so well and it looks beautiful while doing so. This is not a sticky product but it can still become messy if you aren’t careful.
Glossier Balm Dotcom
This is not just a lip balm. It’s a multi-purpose balm, kind of like Vaseline. But I don’t find it to be super hydrating. It gives your lips a comfortable feel but it doesn’t do much else.
And while that may not sound appealing to you, it does to me. This is perfect to wear under lipsticks because it makes your lips feel comfortable but it doesn’t disrupt whatever you put on top. You can wear it under any formula and your lips will look great all day long.
Nooni Applemint Lip Oil
Again, not exactly a balm but it works so well! If you have extremely damaged lips, you need to give this formula a try. This nourishes and conditions your lips like nothing you’ve ever tried before. You can pile it on if you want to use it as a lip mask or just dab a little onto the lips for more subtle hydration.
I’ve tested all of these lip balms on my insanely dry lips and I wholeheartedly vouch for them. They have really transformed my lips!
Do you have any particular lip balm that has transformed your lips?
