Happy Valentine’s Day babes!!
In the spirit of this very unnecessary holiday, I’m bringing back my Week in Lipsticks! I started this series last year and I felt it was the perfect moment to bring it back.
I rotated between 5 lip products this week and I’m pleased to announce I reached for some of my neglected lippies that I haven’t worn in a while.
Check them out:
The Lip Products
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip in Caramelized
I talked about this formula in my last lipstick diary which means I love it a lot. It’s also really comfortable and easy to wear. Perfect for everyday.
This is one of my favorite nudes in my whole collection because it isn’t too warm or too cool; so it goes with everything. Safe to say, I wore this baby a bunch this week.
Glossier Generation G Lipstick in Zip
First red lipstick of the diary (you’re gonna see a few this week). For starters, I love this formula because it’s sheer so it’s not intimidating to wear.
I would say this is a really neutral red so it’s really flattering. Even though this is sheer, it is buildable so you can get as intense as you want with this. I really enjoyed wearing it this week because it gives me the effects of red lipstick but it’s super easy to reapply throughout the day.
Elf Lip Oil in Red Kiss
This is the product I wore the most this week. It is really nourishing on the lips so I love to put it on as lip balm. Some days I wore it by itself, and other days I used it to prep my lips.
By itself, the red tint is very subtle. It adds the slightest bit of color to the lips and the tiniest bit of shimmer as well. It also makes them look juicy and glossy without the sticky feeling.
Dose Of Colors Lipstick in My Main
Ahh, one of the best in my lip product collection. The formula reminds me of the Ultra Satin Lips by Colourpop but this one’s more lightweight.
I love this mainly because of the color. It’s a dark peach on me and it goes with every look. I reached for this whenever I needed long-lasting color and it did not disappoint.
Nudestix Intense Mate Lip + Cheek Pencil in Raven
I almost never reach for this lipstick but since it is Valentine’s Day, I’m making an exception. The color is the perfect burgundy/red. Not to vampy and not too berry. It’s V-Day approved!
Even though I don’t think this is a matte formula, I actually like how it feels on my lips. It’s comfortable to wear and it’s long lasting. Plus the pigment really packs a punch.
The one thing I will say though is that it’s not transfer-proof at all. But, since I have no one to kiss, what do I care?
And that’s the end of my week in lipsticks. What did your week in lipsticks look like?
Hope you have an awesome day filled with love and lots of chocolate!
See you next week,
