5 Minute Makeup Look

The 5 Minute Edit

We all have those days when we need to get ready in a rush. Those days suck. But alas, they come every once in a while and we need to be prepared for them.

Most of the time, when we are rushing, makeup isn’t a priority. But we need to put something on our face. That’s when the 5 minute makeup routine comes into play.

What do you do when there’s no time to get glam? You use easy products that will transform you in just 5 minutes.

My overall goal when I’m pulling a look in under 5 minutes is to look fresh. I don’t worry about coverage and I definitely don’t fuzz about the products I use. I like to go for versatile products that I can use in multiple areas of my face, to speed the process up.

When it comes to the skin, I like to use a tinted moisturizer to even out my skin tone and enhance the look of it. Since my goal is to look fresh and awake, I always add a bunch of blush to my cheeks. If I have some extra time I also add highlighter or bronzer. But most of the times, it’s just blush.

For the eyes I like to go for slight definition, so I always run cream bronzer or highlighter on my lids. I never, ever forget mascara because I believe it’s the easiest and most effective way to to change your face.

I barely pay any attention to my brows, but when I do remember them, I run some brow gel through them to keep the hairs in place.

The lips are the easiest cause I either apply some lip balm to make them look glossy or I add a sheer lip product to make myself look put together. My rule is: it has to be easy to apply while on-the-go.

My five minute face usually entails: Skipping base products, brows with glossier brow flick, bronzer in the crease as eyeshadow, bit of glossier dusk on the cheeks, RMS highlighter if I want to take an extra minute, and an easy lippie like a tinted balm or glossier gen g in cake on my lips. Voila!
Sounds like a lot when I wright it all out haha!
