Since the day I heard about Milk Makeup I knew I was gonna be obsessed with everything they do. The brand is really innovative but it’s also very practical and cool.
I recently bought some of their newest products and one of them was their loose setting powder. I’ve been using it for the past couple of weeks and I have a few thoughts about it that I wanna share with you guys.
I’ve tried quite a few loose powders in my day, but I’ve never tried anything like this one. This is a semi-translucent powder that comes in 3 different shades. The shade range is obviously really limited but keep in mind that these are semi-translucent so they’re supposed to work on a variety of skin tones.
The formula of this powder is very unique because it sets but it doesn’t mattify the skin. It’s definitely a lightweight formula that blurs and smooths your face out. Your face never looks powdery or cake-y, no matter how much you build it up which is perfect for touchups.
I prefer to use it on days when I have a really light base on because it adds to the natural/dewy look but it also helps my makeup stay in place.
I will say though, that this powder is better suited for people with normal to dry skin. I have combo skin and I do find myself constantly reapplying it because I get shiny throughout the day. So if you prefer a dewier base or you find that powder doesn’t sit well on your skin, try this one out.
This powder is $29 and it comes with 0.87oz of product. Mine felt a bit empty when I opened it so I don’t know if that’s how they’re all supposed to be or if I got a dud. I think that it’s a bit expensive considering what it is but I don’t think the price is completely unreasonable.
The packaging is very clean and very on brand, which I appreciate. The product comes with a sponge and it does include a mesh thingy where the powder comes out, to help minimize the mess. I love that. The packaging is a bit on the bulkier side but I don’t really mind.
Overall I really like this product but it’s not something that I would consider repurchasing. And it has nothing to do with the product and everything to do with my skin. Sometimes things don’t work out, unfortunately.
That said, if you do have drier or normal skin, I think you’re gonna absolutely love this powder.
Have you tried this one out yet? Thoughts?
Thank you so much for reading!
I’ll see you next week,
