The “no-makeup makeup” trend has been circling around the beauty community for a while and I don’t think it’s going anywhere. There’s just something so fascinating about putting a bunch of makeup products on your face so that it looks like you’re wearing none. I love it!
I’ve already done a Daily Edit which is similar to this one, but not quite the same. There’s a bit of a difference in the products and the look that I do for the no-makeup makeup thing. If you want to know more, make sure to keep reading!
My goal with this whole no-makeup makeup look is to make myself look as healthy as possible. Especially my skin. I rely mostly on my skin care before application but I do add a few products to make it look extra nice.
My skin doesn’t break out a lot so the only things I really need to cover are my dark under eyes and a bit of redness here and there. I usually just go in with concealer and work on those areas. I definitely like to add a bit of dimension to my face so I always go in with a light hand of cream bronzer and blend it on all the areas where the sun naturally hits. And, of course, I always go in with a liquid highlighter on the high points of my face to make it look like I’m glowing from within.
When it comes to the eyes I like to make them look as bright and awake as possible. I always go in with a champagne shimmery shadow to give the effect of a wet, glossy lid. I like to add a nude liner to the waterline to brighten up the eyes and I always add a thin coat of my favorite mascara.
Since I have naturally full brows I don’t fill them in. Instead I use a clear brow gel and brush my brows up to give them that feathery, bushy look.
The lips are definitely the easiest part. Sometimes I just apply some chapstick and let them be. But when I want a little something extra I like to use a sheer lipstick formula and apply the tiniest bit to my lips to make them look juicier and add color. If my lips are feeling particularly dry, I like going in with a light layer of nude gloss to add a bit of shine.
Here’s a list of all the products featured in this post:
