Today’s blog post is the most exciting post I’ve ever done. I’m doing a review and swatches on the Too Faced Peach palette. I know, this isn’t the newest product out there, but I’ve been hunting this down ever since it came out. I’ve literally gone around the world looking for the palette and I finally have it in my hands!
So, to celebrate my excitement I’m giving you my honest opinion on this product. If you want to know what that is, just keep reading.
I’ve had this palette for a short amount of time, but I have played with it enough to know that I absolutely freaking love it! I love the whole concept of the colors resembling an actual peach, I love the packaging and I love that it smells like peaches.
The price of the palette is $49 just like the Chocolate Bar Palettes. But unlike the Chocolate Bar line, this palette comes with 18 eyeshadows and they’re all the same size. I think for the amount of shadows you’re getting you simply cannot beat the price. You can get this product through the Too Faced website and at Sephora and Ulta as well.
The actual eyeshadows perform really well just like most of the Too Faced palettes do. They have amazing pigmentation and perform very well on the eyes. I had no trouble while blending them and I love how the colors work together. The only shade that was a bit patchy for me was Delectable, but I made it work. There’s a really good amount of mattes and a good amount of shimmers. The color selection is fantastic as well, cause you can create very neutral eye-looks or you can take the more dramatic route.
As I mentioned before, this product does smell like peaches – very artificial peaches. Some people hate the scent, some love it. I don’t love it but I don’t mind it, and it actually tastes pretty good. If you’re sensitive to fragrance then this is something you should consider.
So, is this palette worth the hype or not? I’d say, overall, it is. This is an amazing palette and a completely different take on neutral eyeshadows. You can create a ton of different looks with it and it’s something refreshing for your collection. I do think it is over-hyped in the sense that you can get the look with other eyeshadows. But if you do feel drawn to this product; wether it be the packaging, the colors or the experience I say go buy it RIGHT NOW!
Have you guys tried this baby out? Do you love it? Hate it? Make sure you let me know, in the comment section below.
