Hey everyone! How are y’all doing?
Today’s post is a review on a product that I haven’t heard much about. Today’s product is the MAC Soft Serve Eye Shadow in the shade Quite Yummy! MAC is always coming out with new products and new collections, so it can be very easy to miss out on products. Fortunately I discovered these eyeshadows and I’m here to tell you what I think of them.
Let’s head straight in!
So basically MAC describes the Soft Serve Eye Shadow as a long-wearing, non-creasing shadow with a distinctive creamy yet bouncy texture. And though it is a very promising claim, it isn’t necessarily true.
In terms of formula the shadow is bouncy and a bit creamy. It’s very similar to the Colourpop eyeshadow formula. But the product doesn’t pack enough pigmentation. All of the shadows are shimmery and when you apply it the only thing that shows up on the eyes is the shimmer. You can build it up but the pigmentation is not intense. I would use this as an everyday light eyeshadow.
As for the long-wearing and non-creasing part, I don’t really believe it. The eyeshadow wears off throughout the day and if you wear it without a primer it will crease like a mofo. Even if the formula isn’t the most creamy I do recommend you set it to prevent creasing.
They have 12 shades in this range and there is a variety of color. Most of the colors are everyday colors but there are some that are a bit more out there. There’s a yellow, a green and a blue one I believe; and even though they’re colorful they’re not intense. I would describe this product as a wash of color for the lid.
The price of this product is $22 and you get 0.17 US OZ. Is it worth it? Absolutely not! If you want a different formula then try Colourpop; they’re basically the same thing but cheaper and more pigmented.
But I wanna know what you guys think. Have you tried these? If so, what do you think of them? Make sure to let me know!
Thank you all so much for reading!
Lots of love,
