How To Turn a Blemish Into a Beauty Mark

Blemishes suck. Am I right, or am I right? Unfortunately they’re inevitable, everyone gets them. And sometimes adding extra concealer or foundation doesn’t really help. Your face can get super cake-y and it can emphasize your blemishes even more.

About a month ago I watched a video, it was Desi Perkins I think, and she turned her blemish into a beauty mark. Genius idea! You couldn’t even tell it was a blemish, it looked so real. I took it upon myself to test it out, and it turns out it actually works.

If you want to learn how to turn your blemishes into beauty marks, make sure to keep reading.

Honestly this is such an easy tip, you’ll be incorporating it in your makeup routine in no time. The only thing you have to do is draw a brown dot over your blemish. Super simple right?

It is simple but there are some things you can do to ensure that the ‘beauty mark’ looks natural and doesn’t fade.

First things first, make sure you apply your primer, foundation, and concealer on before. If your blemish is irritated and super red, make sure to go in with a green corrector before foundation to cancel out the redness.

After you’re done with your entire face -blush, contour, and highlight included- you can go in and draw over the blemish. I use a brown felt tip liquid liner, but you can use whatever you want. Eyeliner, brow pomade, eyeshadow, etc. Try to experiment with different products to find what works best for you. Make sure to tap lightly with your finger after applying the product, to blend it into your skin. You can set it with eyeshadow or your normal face powder to make sure it doesn’t move, or even worse, disappear throughout the day.
