This is actually the second time I’m writing this blog post because my draft randomly disappeared, but I started again just for you guys. For those of you who are on a budget this will be a very useful post. I’m gonna be talking about the best drugstore makeup to use for fall. Because who said all the high quality makeup was expensive?
Let’s dive right in!
The Maybelline Fit Me! Matte+Poreless foundation works very well for me, especially in the fall. It keeps me looking matte and not shiny but it doesn’t dry out my skin which is nice. I like to pair the foundation with the e.l.f. Poreless Face primer to make my face look even smoother and my pores invisible. After applying the Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser to conceal my under eyes and to prime my lids, I like to set everything with the L’Oreal Infallible Face Powder. It sets everything very well and it makes my makeup last longer throughout the day. Since the concealer isn’t heavy or thick I also apply the powder to my under eyes, to keep them from creasing.
Bronzer and blush are my favorite things to experiment with in the fall. The Jane Cosmetics Bronzing Powder and the Milani Baked Blush in Coralina have been really great finds. They both work great together and they have great pigmentation. The bronzer you can use year round, but I like the blush for fall because it’s more of a rusty coral. I think that it compliments the season.
Highlighters at the drugstore aren’t all that great. That’s why I use the NYX Prismatic Eyeshadow in Girl Talk as a highlighter. It works wonderfully as one and it gives you such a pretty sheen on the cheeks. You can build it up to be as intense as you want. It’s a great quality highlight, even though it’s an eyeshadow.
I always like to start with my brows to guide the rest of my look. The Maybelline Brow Satin Eyebrow Pencil is a great 2 in 1. On one side it has a pencil and on the other it comes with a powder. You can use both or the one you like the most. After brows it’s time for eyeshadow. This L’Oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude 02 is gorgeous for fall. It has a great mix of neutrals and deeper mauveier colors. The quality is pretty good too.
For eyeliner I like the NYX Matte Liquid Liner. The formula is great and I like the fact that’s it’s not shiny. It’s easy to apply as well. Maybelline Volume Express Mega Plush Mascara has been my favorite for a while, no matter the season. It does exactly what the name implies. It’s very voluminous and it doesn’t smudge at all.
Lipstick is the easiest way to incorporate fall into your everyday makeup. I love the deeper and sultrier nudes for fall. Two of my favorites are the Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice and the Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Teddy Bare. Both are similar colors but the formula is a bit different. Nonetheless both are very high quality and comfortable to wear on the lips.
When my lips are feeling particularly dry I like to use glosses. One of my favorites is the NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Toasted Marshmallow. The color oddly fits into the fall category and it is very unique. But what I love the most about it is the formula. It’s super comfortable to wear and it’s a bit hydrating as well. It’s easy to use and it makes you look fab.
And that’s it for today guys. I hope you enjoyed the post and that you learned something new today! Feel free to share your favorite fall products so that we can all try them out.
